Who We Are

The Arizona Association of Dispensing Opticians is the only professional association in Arizona exclusively dedicated to representing licensed opticians. Founded in 1956, AADO has spent decades monitoring, protecting, and preserving the right of every optician to practice their profession in our state.

We are your voice at the state capitol — tracking legislation daily at both the state and national levels to ensure your continued professional status. Whether you are a licensed optician, ABO/NCLE certified, or working independently, AADO is the organization that works for you.

Our Mission

To improve, foster and promote the high standards of the optical profession through recognized continuing education for state licensed, ABO/NCLE certified and non-licensed opticians. We inspire confidence and the highest of standards to the public and the ophthalmic community — providing an organization through which licensed, non-licensed and associates may undertake activities that are most effective through cooperative effort.
