To improve, foster, and promote the interests of dispensing opticians; to instill mutual understanding and friendship among dispensing opticians, and to inspire in the public, by appropriate means, confidence in dispensing opticians. This is accomplished by providing an organization through which dispensing opticians may undertake those lawful activities that can be conducted most effectively by cooperative effort.
